Nothin’ But Sand Cleanups are hands-on opportunities for volunteers to directly
improve the condition of Santa Monica Bay beaches while enjoying the great
outdoors. What a great opportunity for our DAPS kids to get outside and help the
environment at the same time!

DAPS kids helped clean up Dockweiler Beach on January 19, 2008. Heal the Bay
provides all the cleanup supplies; all we had to do was show up! We had 22 kids
and a ton of enthusiasm!
The cleanups are held the third Saturday of each month, from 10:00am -12:00pm.
At the end of the day we had collected 17 blue bags full of garbage, 3 green bags
of aluminum and approximately 56 plastic bottle caps!

breakfast, sponsored by the Pacific
Boosters, at Maxi’s, located at the
everything from an omelet station to
freshly made Belgian waffle’s to all you
can eat fresh strawberries. Then we
headed to the beach…
