leadership and discipline in young men and women between the ages of 14-21.

On September 28th and October 5th 2008, the Pacific Area Cadets completed the
CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training conducted by The
Disaster-Preparedness Unit of LAFD in Van Nuys, California.
The course taught them basic emergency-response skills including fire safety, team
organization, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. Since
completing this training, our Explorers have earned their Emergency Preparedness
commendation bar. Congratulations on a job well done!
